About our brand
Creek View Cottage is a women owned business creating applique designs & quilt kits featuring original artwork. We sell patterns & machine embroidery applique kits business to business so that our quilt kits & applique kits are available in local quilt shops. We also have items that are available directly to the public. All items feature our original designs.
Our quilting kits are produced in the USA with sustainable materials. Using precision machine cutting of our vector designs, we are able to offer “ready to sew” cut shapes with fusible stabilizer already ironed on plus we offer the machine embroidery stitching files & step by step directions!
Our original fabric prints and panel prints are printed in the USA with environmentally friendly inks. We partner with carefully selected fulfillment centers located in the US to bring you the best custom products.

Boo Yay Quilt & Applique Pattern for 50” x 56” quilt
This Boo Yay Quilt design is for machine applique with machine embroidery character details. Our Boo Yay Quilt is made with a 5 x 7 hoop! This pattern includes: quilt pattern, sewing directions, SVG files for use when you cut your own applique shapes (compatible with Brother ScanNCut DX machines) plus step by step directions on how you can set up your own stitch files using embroidery software. Our stitch set up examples are shown using Embrilliance digitizing software. Note that any digitizing program that accepts vector files could work in a similar way. We have found Embrilliance to be the most user friendly by far.
Beginning on May 8, 2024, we will present free video tutorials for each one of the applique character blocks in the quilt. Each video takes you step by step. You will learn how to set up your stitch file using our vector shapes plus how to sew your applique step by step and assemble your blocks. You can do this! The stitch set up is easy when you begin with our vector images!
To use this pattern, you will need:
a sewing machine that does machine embroidery, has a blanket or E stitch and is compatible with a 5 x 7 hoop or larger
a Brother Scan N Cut DX cutting machine if you plan to pre-cut your own shapes or if you don’t have a DX, just buy our pre-cut applique shapes kit (coming soon).
Embrilliance digitizing software or similar digitizing software (our examples are only done in Embrilliance. The software is Not included & must be purchased separately.)
a lap top or desk top computer capable of running the Embrilliance software
